The Orange Senior Center is committed to promote independence, creativity, sound physical and emotional health, and life-long learning for persons over the age of 55. The center provides opportunities for education, cultural development, socialization, and community services.  Non-residents are welcome to join for an annual fee.

WORD FROM THE SENIOR SERVICES COORDINATOR

With the colder months coming, it is time to cover the   Inclement Weather Policy:

If the Orange Elementary schools are closed due to weather then classes at the Orange Senior Center are canceled for that day. If the Orange Elementary schools are delayed and your class is within the delay period then class is canceled. If students pay a fee to attend the class then it will be made up at the end of the session. Orange school closings and delays are reported on WTNH-8 and WTNH-8 will be the official vehicle of notification. Please be aware Orange is part of the Amity Regional School System and will be posted as Amity. Any question as to whether a class is on, you are encouraged to call the senior center office (203) 891-4784. I encourage all instructors to tell the weather policy to their class at the start of the first class.
