What is Reverse911

Reverse 911 is a community notification system which is being employed in hundreds of towns and cities nationwide.  The system uses computer based software to deliver recorded or email messages to a geographic area. The messages can be an emergency notice, a crime prevention message, or a request for information from the community at large.  In an effort to expand our telephone database, we have provided a downloadable form for residents to register their primary contact number and one email address per household.  The form must be delivered to police headquarters to ensure the integrity of the system and that proper permission to list the information in our system is obtained. A confirmation telephone number is required so that the information can be confirmed as accurate and authorized by police data entry staff.  The information will never, under any circumstance, be released, sold or shared with a non-emergency agency.  The Reverse911 system is not a solicitation tool.

  • If you currently have a listed home phone number, you are already included in our database.

  • If your home phone number is unlisted, you should complete this form to be added to the database.

  • If you would prefer to be notified via a cell phone or alternate contact number, you should complete this form. 

  • If you would like to be notified by email, you should complete this form.  One email address per household.        

  •    The system allows for only one contact telephone number and one email address.

  • The system is available to Orange residents/businesses only!
