The perfect way to introduce your toddler to a variety of sports. Sports teach socialization, listening skills, and teamwork.

Toddler Playgroup 
Ages 6 months to 4 years
The Toddler Playgroup is an unstructured play area where your little ones can enjoy an environment made just for them. The facility features two rooms with supplies for arts and crafts projects, imaginative play, games, ride-on toys, and much more. There is a child size bathroom and a changing station located in the playroom area. This is a great way to meet other moms or dads, and for your children to make new friends.
There will also be special events and parties throughout the season. Please note, on holidays and during Vacation Camps, the Toddler Playgroup will be closed.

Ages 3 - 5 years
Nerfkins is a class for your energetic three to five year olds. Using nerfballs and other soft equipment, your child will be introduced to sports while learning basic ball handling skills and developing hand-eye coordination. They will play and develop skills in basketball, soccer, baseball and other gym games. Parents must stay in the gym during the class.

Storytime Creations
Ages 3-5
Join us for storytime with creative arts and crafts projects or edible creations. Each week will be a different story with a project that follows the theme of the book. Parent participation is required for this class.

Fun Sportz Hoops Clinic
Ages 4-7, boys and girls
This introductory basketball session is specifically designed to help your child learn basketball skills in a friendly, noncompetitive atmosphere. SoccerTikes is a physical development program for children between the ages of 3 and 6. This program uses a variety of fun games to delight and engage kids in physical activity. We stress a noncompetitive environment and promote fun above all else. We mix in fun and skill development activities with small-sided games.

Youth Programs

This class is for students to build confidence, focus, discipline, and self-control. Students will also increase their coordination, strength, and flexibility while having fun. This dynamic and energetic program benefits children in a number of ways. They will engage in various Martial Arts techniques and activities, while learning important skills.

Spring tennis is scheduled to begin the week of April 26. The session has a level for every child's ability. There will be lots of hard work, but tons of fun too! Lessons will be held at the High Plains Community Center tennis courts. Program co-directors David Kardas and Greg Sansonetti bring a combined 25+ years' worth of tennis teaching experience as well as an exciting, experienced, and certified staff.

Youth Basketball League
Boys ages 7-15
Girls ages 7-13
This is a competitive league that includes all levels of ability. The players are evaluated by the Park and Recreation basketball supervisors at the placement clinic. Teams are drafted by the coaches using evaluations and practice schedule availability to create the league. Teams have one evening practice scheduled each week at one of the schools in Orange.
Games are played on Saturdays. Practice will begin the week of November 7 and the games will begin Saturday, December 3.
The 7-8 Boys and Girls divisions will play games Saturdays at the H.P.C.C. Gym.
The 9-10 Boys and Girls divisions will play games Saturdays at the Mary L. Tracy Gym.
The 11-12 and 13-15 boys and the 11-13 girls division will play games Saturdays at the Amity Middle School.
The 13-15 boys division will have a placement clinic in December. Practice for this league will begin after the draft is completed and the games will begin in January.
No participants will be added to any team after their league drafat has occurred and the teams have been made, or when maximum enrollment has been reached. There are no exceptions to the registration deadline or age brackets.
Players' league is determined by age as of December 31, 2016.
Registration begins Monday, August 29, 2016 for residents of Orange and Tuesday, September 6, 2016 for nonresidents.

Vacation Camp
Vacation Camp is available during the Orange school vacations. Campers will participate in a variety of activities; arts and crafts, outdoor games (weather permitting), swimming, gym games and field trips to area locations and activities.
There is NO bus transportation for the vacation camps.
Children must bring a lunch and snacks everyday, unless notified by the counselors.
Campers should bring a bathing suit and towel to camp every day. Children will be tested on the first day of camp and those that cannot swim a full length of the pool will wear lifejackets during free swim.
Campers should not bring anything of value to camp; cameras, ipods, hand-held video games, cell phones. Orange Park and Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Campers are grouped by current grade/age.
Medications cannot be administered by Camp Staff.
