Jim was educated in the Orange School System, Fairfield College Preparatory School and the University of Connecticut School of Agriculture. For 24 years, Jim worked as a school bus contractor, providing transportation for our children. He has served as a member of the Orange Fair Committee for 43 years and after 23 years of service, Jim retired from the Orange Volunteer Fire Department.
In 2007, Jim was appointed to the Connecticut Farmland Preservation Advisory Board and also has served as a member of the District Animal Control, serving as its chairman for 2 ½ years. Jim also served as a board member of the Orange Economic Development Corporation.
Jim was elected First Selectman in 2005 and continues to serve the Town of Orange in this capacity.
